Five Counties Children’s Centre is one of 21 Children’s Treatment Centres in Ontario.  We have provided rehabilitation and developmental services and supports for children and youth in Peterborough, Northumberland, Haliburton counties and the City of Kawartha Lakes for more than 45 years.

In partnership with families and communities, we strive to enrich the independence and quality of life for children and adolescents with physical, developmental and communication needs. At the Centre we have a team approach with the family being a key member of this team. We are committed to the highest quality of service possible and we received a three year accreditation award from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) - the highest standard an organization can achieve.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Program Manager who wants to use their expertise to make a significant contribution to the clients, caregivers and communities we serve. This full-time position is located in Peterborough, situated in Ontario’s beautiful Kawartha Lakes region which is renowned for its outdoor attractions and superb quality of life.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for managing program services for children, youth and their families in accordance with Centre standards and leading multi/interdisciplinary teams of clinical and support staff that provide these services within the geographic area.    As a member of the Leadership Team, you will participate in the overall planning and decision-making of the Centre.   

With your strong management, collaboration and team building skills, you will work with the CEO, the Director of Clinical Services and other Managers to facilitate the achievement of the Centre’s strategic goals. 

Key responsibilities will also include program delivery and planning, organizational management, acting as a community liaison and coordinating special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Honours Degree at a Bachelors/Masters level in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, social work or Registered Nurse with pediatric experience
  • Licensed/registered member of a regulated health profession  in current good standing with the regulatory and/or professional body
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a related therapy and in a management role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise multi/interdisciplinary teams using strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and conflict resolution skills
  • Commitment to working with a family-centred approach
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects as well as a high level of tact, diplomacy and professionalism
  • Sound judgment and an ability to perform well under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an environment that relies on technology (i.e. Microsoft  Office, GoldCare)
  • A valid driver's license, access to a safe and reliable vehicle, ability to travel
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends
