Located in the City of Oshawa, Bloom Retirement Community is looking for a Health Services Manager - to fill a permanent full-time day (40h) position. All services in the organization are designed to meet the needs and well-being of our residents. Come and be part of the Bloom Community in order to make a positive impact on our resident’s lives!

Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :

• Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
• Proactively assist and support the residents
• Adhere to standards and legislation in accordance with the RHRA and ORCA Ontario Retirement Communities Association code of ethics
• Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various service providers (LHIN)
• Respond to all emergency situations
• Act as an intermediary for various external service providers (physicians, pharmacists, LHIN, etc.)

Required qualifications :

• RPN, Degree in a nursing education program
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in nursing with a minimum of 1 year in administration
• Member of the CNO (College of Nurses of Ontario)
• A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience in personnel management
• At least 2 to 5 years of experience in nursing
• Strong written and spoken English
