Position Summary

Join our Nursing team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital & Health Centre (CMH) in Williams Lake. CMH is a Level 2 Community Hospital with 28 inpatient beds. The hospital offers ER, HAU, OR, med-surg, and obstetrical units.

We are hiring for:
• Ambulatory Care
• Emergency
• High Acuity
• Medical / Surgical
• Perinatal
• Perioperative
• Other specialty areas (Public Health, MHSU, Renal, etc.)

As the largest and fastest growing city in the area, Williams Lake serves as a business, industrial, and service hub for many outlying communities. The community provides more affordable housing and real estate opportunities in comparison to neighbouring communities. Outdoor recreation enthusiasts are drawn to the area’s natural amenities. World-class mountain bike trails, miles of hiking and skiing terrain, and hundreds of lakes for kayaking, rafting, boating, fishing, and camping. The surrounding pristine wilderness provides unlimited recreation combined with the convenience of city living.

Plans are being finalized for the construction of an addition to the Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
Once construction is completed, the new build will provide a new and larger Emergency department, an additional 22 Medical-Surgical beds and a new Maternity department with 5 rooms where mothers will labor, deliver and recover in the same room. Phase 2 of the project will see a new Psychiatric inpatient facility created as well as a larger space for the Ambulatory care and Oncology unit.

Wage Scale:
• Registered Nursing pay scale is $36.23 - $47.58
• Licensed Practical Nursing pay scale is $28.43 - $32.09

Qualifications


• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). If you are a registered nurse from out of province, please visit the BCCNM website for information on transferring your registration.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
