REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE

The Operating Room is currently seeking a regular full time Registered Practical Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
2. Current BLS certification (Level C).
3. Must have current or recent clinical experience of at least two years in Operating Room scrubbing for General Surgery, Urology, E.N.T, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Vascular and Gynaecology.
4. Must have completed an accredited Operating Room post diploma course.
5. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and able to cope with pressure and deadlines. 
6. Demonstrated clinical assessment skills and knowledge in managing the perioperative care of both adult and paediatric patients.
7. Demonstrated effective communication skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
9. Ability to participate in call-back and standby duties.
10. Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and availability.
11. Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety, considers safety of self and co-workers
