Charge Nurse (RPN)

Working three shifts in a 45-bed retirement home, the Permanent Part-Time Charge Nurse (RPN) is accountable for the quality of resident care and shall delegate and supervise care given by non-registered nursing personnel (PSW) in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Ministry of Health.

The successful applicant will work 8-10 shifts in each two-week pay period. Shift premiums paid for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Furthermore, the Charge Nurse will receive additional $1/hr on evenings, nights, and weekends to act as the main supervisor for the building.

As the Acting Fire Warden on weekends and after hours during the week, and in the event of a fire emergency, ensure the accurate and timely execution of the Fire Plan until relieves by a Manager or the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
